Puerto Madryn: Whales & Peguins
Puerto Madryn is a city in the Chubut Province of the Patagonian region and is the gateway to the famous Valdes Peninsula. Increased tourism has greatly improved amenities in the area, with visitors flocking from all corners of the world to see the plethora of arctic wildlife native to the region.
The Valdes Peninsula offers visitors a chance to see whales, penguins, sea lions, elephant seals and various bird species, all typical of the Patagonian Atlantic, while Punta Tombo Provincial Wildlife Reserve hosts the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in Patagonia.
