Honeymoon in Argentina
Honeymoon trips are not just any other trip, for they celebrate the beginning of a new stage in life: the formalization of a life together. And, like every unique and memorable experience, this deserves a top destination. Argentina and the options of this program will surely cater for that.
Cosmopolitan and magical Buenos Aires, a unique city in Latin America, is the starting point of this trip. Each of the other destinations is planned to enhance the romanticism: Ushuaia, the “end of the world’s” city – in the southernmost tip of the American continent – is followed by the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park, in Patagonia. The wine and the gourmet cuisine in Mendoza are part of the paradise at the foothills of the Andes, which herald the marvelous and lush Iguazú Falls, in the heart of the subtropical rainforest.

Breakfast. Our fascinating city tour will provide an overview of the city and its attractions, giving you a better understanding of Argentina’s history and culture. During this three hour tour, you will visit Retiro, the Avenida 9 de Julio, South America’s widest avenue (El Teatro Colon and Obelisco), the historic and architecturally imposing Center (Congress, Plaza de Mayo, Avenida de Mayo, Casa Rosada), the modern docklands of Puerto Madero and the oldest neighbourhood of the city, San Telmo, with stops in upmarket Recoleta (Cemetery and Plaza Francia) and the city’s oldest port and birthplace, La Boca (Caminito).
At night you will enjoy a delicious meal with free-flowing wine and be entertained with a tango show where you will experience the heartbeat of Argentina first hand, before being transferred to your hotel to relax for the rest of the night.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, also known as “The End of the World”, where upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
In the afternoon make your way to the tourist wharf where you will board a boat to sail through the Beagle Channel, one of the region’s most important waterways and a highlight of the trip. The strait was named after the HMS Beagle, which passed through on an expedition in the 1820’s, and this marine tour offers panoramic views of the city of Ushuaia from the bay itself. You will also catch glimpses of the diverse marine fauna, such as cormorants and sea lions on the islands of Lobo and De los Pajaros. If the winds permit, land on one of the islands’ bridges, where you can see the remains of giant shells and enjoy views of Chile and Argentina. Next you can explore Les Eclaireurs, known as the “Lighthouse at the End of the World”.
Along the eleven kilometers that separate the entrance of the Park and the city of Ushuaia, we will make a stop near the Centro Hípico (Riding Club), where we will enjoy som excellent panoramic views of the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia`s Peninsula and Bridges`, Willie’s and Les Eclauriers’ Islands. After crossing River Pipo’s bridge, next to Ushuaia’s Golf Club, we will arrive at the End of the World Station. Those passengers that would like to board the End of the World train will be able to take that optional tour. The rest of the group will await them at the end of the train trip. We continue our drive for 2 more kilometers and enter the National Park, an area reserved to protect the Subantarctic Forest and its native flora and fauna. From this spot we will be able to take a glimpse of both Redonda and Estorbo Islands.Through a path surrounded by Lenga forests and peats, we will reach Lake Roca, a glacial lake, with a surface of 5,50 square kilometers, and framed by mountains and forests, where we can likely be able to see different native birds. The last part of the excursion leads us to Lapataia Bay. Along the way we will cross Cormorants Islands, get to see other peats and also visit a beaver dam. Once in Lapataia Bay, besides the marine coast, rich in mollusks and mussels, we will find traces of the ancient native settlers that used to live in the region. We will have some time to enjoy the feeling of being at the end of the world.bFrom this spot, the end of National Route number 3, we will begin our journey back to the city of Ushuaia.
