The Iguazu Falls – Classic Tour

Given the vast surface area of the park and the considerable height of its falls (up to 80 meters), this setting offers a great number of perspectives.

The classic tours include the walkway towards the “Devil´s Throat”, the Superior Circuit and the Lower Circuit. Indeed, you do need these many points of reference to better appreciate the magnificence and beauty of this site. You can´t miss them!

Landmark of the Three Frontiers

From Argentina you will be able to take in both Brazil and Paraguay. Does that sound far-fetched? While visiting this famous site in Puerto Iguazú, travelers will enjoy the original experience of simultaneously catching sight of the borders with Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) and Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil). For sure, this is one of the most exciting plans in the city. The viewpoint features a monolith that symbolizes the fraternity and respect between the three nations while proving the invisibility of borders in the face of nature.

San Ignacio Ruins

Misiones is a province that boasts a cornucopia of natural and historical treasures. Only a few hours away from Puerto Iguazú lie the San Ignacio Ruins. This place – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984- is an invaluable cultural asset for the region. The Jesuit mission here is the best preserved of the ones built in Argentina between the XVI and the XVII centuries. This site is home to the facades of a cemetery, some houses, a Cabildo, a church and the priests´ residence.

Bird Park

And given the proximity with the neighboring country, we would like to recommend one of the most outstanding attractions in the area: the Bird Park, a natural setting dedicated to the conservation of diverse species. During the walk around the park (which takes between 1 and 2 hours) visitors will be able to get in close contact with a wide variety of birds along with other animals, and even take pictures of them.

Wanda Mines

Wanda is one beautiful town in the province of Misiones. It is home to one of the region´s treasures run by a mining and industrial company bearing the same name. This enterprise was founded by Polish immigrants back in 1936 and since then it has been dedicated to the discovery and extraction of basalt, quartz, gems, or topaz in the mines. They also feature a theme park that leads visitors into a world full of natural beauty and the mining history of the area, among other attractions.
